Broadcasts

Message everyone who’slistening — and learn

Send one message to a whole segment of recent contacts, split it into up to four versions, and see which one earns the click. All within Instagram’s rules.

Split testing

Up to four versions, one send

Write versions A, B, C and D — a different opening line, button label or offer. Mtschat splits your audience between them and reports runs, link clicks and click-through rate for each.

  • Change one thing per version so you know what made the difference
  • Results appear in Insights alongside your automations
  • Reuse the winning wording in your next broadcast or flow
The 24-hour rule

Who a broadcast can reach

Instagram only lets businesses message people who have messaged them in the last 24 hours. Mtschat follows that rule for you.

Every time a contact sends you a message — a comment reply, a button tap, a DM — their 24-hour window opens or resets. A broadcast goes to everyone in your chosen segment whose window is still open. Everyone else is skipped automatically.

Included: someone who tapped “Send me the link” on your Reel this morning.
Skipped: someone whose last message to you was three days ago.

More detail in our guide to the 24-hour window.

Best practices

Broadcasts people are glad to get

Send while it’s fresh

Your reachable audience is the people active in the last day. Plan broadcasts soon after a post that gets people talking.

Target a segment

Send the guide follow-up only to people tagged “guide-lead”. Relevant messages get clicks; generic ones get muted.

One clear button

Short message, one action. A clear button label is often the easiest thing to test across versions.

Test one variable

If versions differ in wording and offer, you won’t know which mattered. Change one thing at a time.

Respect the inbox

Broadcast when you have something worth saying. Fewer, better messages keep people replying — and keep windows open.

Follow with a flow

Connect broadcast buttons to a flow, so replies are handled automatically or handed to your team.

Send smarter
